It's been a good month in the Jakubiec line as far as research goes. Success after several years of searching for Joseph Jakubiec and his daughter Valeria/Violet. Both were killed on the same day in August 1924 in two different accidents. It's hard to even imagine the nightmare that Mary, Joseph's wife, lived through at that time. Seventy-three years later I finally stumbled across their names in the City of Wyandotte death index and was able to locate death certificates. The next job on the list is to do the same for Joseph Gerejczyk and Frank Papuskiewicz, brothers-in-law who died in a car accident the day after Christmas in 1932. They were husbands of two of Mary's daughters.
Still no luck with Hartley Fitzgerald before about 1900. Would love a picture of him for my husband.
