Devault, Virginia - Virginia L. Devault, 73, passed away late Tuesday evening, July 29, 2003, at the Bay Regional Medical Center. She
is the daughter of the late Clarence and Clara (Klepser) Witt, born Feb. 10, 1930, in Detroit. She married Norman Devault Nov. 8,
1949. He predeceased her on Jan. 21, 1985. Mrs. Devault worked at Terry & Jerry's O Sole Mio as head waitress for 48 years. She
was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are two
daughters, Barbara (Steven) Dziuban of Twining and Theresa Devault of Merrill; three grandchildren, Stephanie, Mary and Charles
Dziuban; and one sister, Joyce Dancer. Funeral and Committal Service took place Aug. 2 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. William

(Barthuley) Dreuth. He married Marguerite Felker in Reese, Michigan February 19, 1928. He was a life member of the American
Historical Society of Germans from Russia, and a Charter member of the Flint Chapter. He retired in 1967 from Fisher Body Plant 2
after 42 years of service. He was a member of UAW Local 598. Surviving are: wife of 62 years, Marguerite, also of Fostrian Manor,
Flushing; daughter, Marguerite E. and Jim Palmquist of Flint; granddaughter, Mary Palmquist of Flint; 3 stepsisters, Mrs. Lydia (Major)

DuFort, Florence - Florence M. DuFort of Sandusky and formerly of Standish passed away Dec. 20, 2004 at Sanilac Medical Care
Facility. She was born Dec. 12, 1911 in Linwood, the daughter of George and Maude (LaVasser) LaFave. She married Andrew DuFort
on Jan. 31, 1931. He preceded her in death on Nov. 17, 1988. Mrs. DuFort was a homemaker. Survivors are: two daughters, Donna
Freiburger of Sandusky and Darline (John) Drudi of Grand Blanc; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, five great-great
grandchildren; two brothers, Dolphis (Adele) LaFave of Florida and Colen (Susan) LaFave of Pinconning; sister-in-law, Ellen LaFave
of Bay City; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis and daughter-in-law, JoAnne DuFort;
one son-in-law, Donald Freiburger; one granddaughter, Kim Drudi; one great-grandchild, Steven Kirkpatrick; and one brother, Oliver

Durkee, Eugene - Eugene Durkee, 67, of Mounted Rt. 8, Plattsburg, died September 19, 1973. He was born In Churubusco September 12, 1906, a son of George and Nina Patnode Durban and was a self employed carpenter. He was united to the former Agnes LeClair, who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Miss Constance Durkee of Plattsburgh, Nancy at home and Mrs. Richard (Jacqueline) McCormick of Port Kent; four brothers, Lloyd of Oneonta, Alton of Churubusco, Earl of Plattsburgh and Kenneth of Peru, four sisters, Mrs. Mamie Patnode of Malone, Mrs. Florence Patnode of Oneida, Mrs. Mose (Evelyn) Dapo of Cumberland Head and Mrs. Ellsworth (Rita) Tacy of Chateaugay. Duval, Amos - Amos Duval, Former Resident, Dies At Binghamton, Vt. The sad news reached here Saturday announcing the death of Amos Duval, which sad event occurred at Binghamton, Vt. that day. Mr. Duval had been ill for the past seven years and a year ago went to Vermont to reside with members of his family. For the past week he had been in a critical condition. The deceased was born at Mooers Forks in 1893, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Nelson Duval. He had been a resident of this town for about 25 years, where he followed the occupation of farming and was also a cattle dealer. Mr. Duval had the happy faculty of making and retaining the friendships with those whom he came in contact with. He was a man of jovial disposition being strictly honest and upright at all times and his many friends were shocked to learn of his death. The survivors include his widow, Mrs. Emma (Leclair) Duval and seven children. Mrs. Ruby Wilson, Donald Duval, Mrs. Michael Kiah, Leonard Duval, Amos Duval Jr., Mildred Duval and Mrs. Florence LaMare; two sisters, Mrs. Benjamin Longtin and Mrs. Albert Brothers; three brothers, Fred, Philip and Jerry Duval. Duval, Donald A. - Donald A, Duval, 76, of Lakeshore Road, died Thursday, May 21, 1992, at his home. Born in Ellenburg, March 23, 1916, he was the son of Amos J. and Emma LeClair Duval. Mr. Duval was a graduate of Chateaugay High School and attended Genesee State Teachers College. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Army Air Force as a pilot and control-tower operator. He was a correction officer, retiring from Clinton Correctional Facility. He was a life member of the Tarpon Springs, Fla., Lodge of Elks 1719, a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 255 in Plattsburgh, a past member and fire commissioner for the West Chazy Volunteer Fire Department and a member of Sacred Heart Church in Chazy. Surviving are his wife, the former Elizabeth "Betty" Shea of Chazy; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Terrance Duval of Middletown and Dr. James and Susan Duval of Williamsville; a daughter, Mrs. Eric (Donna) Westerberg of Topsfield, Mass.; two brothers and their wives, Leonard and Lucy Duval of North Pownel, Vt., and Amos and Loretta Duval of Pittsfield, Mass.; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Gerald and Rachel Kiah of Rochester and Mildred Duval of Ogdensburg; five grandchildren, Michelle O'Connor of Albany, Danielle Potenza of Middletown, Jeffrey Duval in the U.S. Army and Jonathon and Katie Duval of Williamsville; a great-granddaughter, Alexandria O'Connor of Albany; and several nieces and nephews. Duval, Gaylord - Gaylord Duval, 37, Peru Rd., Plattsburgh, died yesterday at the Albany Hospital following a long illness.
