Magoon, Rhada Doris - Rhada Doris Magoon, 79, of 1831 Bradley Pond Road, Ellenburg Center, died Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone. She was born in Ellenburg Center on July 19, 1926, the daughter of the late Peter D. and Mary "Mamie" J. (Doody) LaClair. She attended local Ellenburg schools. She was a loving homemaker and helped support her husband on his dairy farm for many years. She married Claude W. Magoon on April 26, 1943, at St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg. He predeceased her on March 7, 1980. She was a communicant of St. Edmund's Church and a member of the Catholic Daughters Court Little Rose 1300. Rhada enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening and spending time with her family. She is survived by a daughter, Rosemary J. Trombley of Ellenburg Center; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rolland C. and Dale Ann Magoon, Stephen P. and Sandra Magoon and Miles K. and Diane Magoon, all of Ellenburg Center; two sisters, Mrs. James (Eleanor) Gaffney of Winter Gardens, Fla., and Mrs. Lewis (Hilda) Duffina of Norfolk, N.Y.; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Rhada was predeceased by her parents, Peter and Mary; her husband, Claude; two daughters, Linda M. Sansone and Mary Jane Magoon; a son, James W. Magoon; two grandchildren, Lona and Jamie Magoon; seven brothers, Irving, Norman, Howard, Austin, Eugene, John Eldon and Bernard LaClair; and two sisters, Muriel LaClair and Della Trombley. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m. at the E.F. Drown Funeral Service in Ellenburg Depot. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday from St. Edmund's Church in Ellenburg with Rev. John Looby, pastor celebrating. Manning, Goldie - Mrs. Goldie Manning, 65, of Chateaugay, died Friday, March 26, 1976 in Vermont Medical Center, Burlington. Born in Altona, October 4, 1910, she was a daughter of Frank and Cora Stone LeClair and was married to Richard Manning who predeceased her some time ago. Survivors include one son, Richard of Chateaugay; two daughters, Mrs. Roma (Gertrude) Castine of West Chazy and Mrs. Reggie (Dorothy) Sweet of Chateaugay; three brothers, Leo of Ellenburg Center, Roy of Holyoke , Mass. , and Lawrence of Chicago, Ill., two sisters, Mrs. Floyd (Martha) King of Altona and Mrs. Nora Garrow of Morrisonville; 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by four brothers, Ernest, Jeffrey, Percy and Willard and a sister, Dorothy Bergeron.Funeral services were held Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay and burial will be in Eastside Cemetery, Chateaugay. Manning, Richard - CHATEAUGAY - Richard J. Manning Jr., 79, formerly of the Healey Road, Chateaugay, died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, at Franklin County Nursing Home, Malone, N.Y., where he had been a patient since March 28, 2008. Born in Altona, N.Y., April 12, 1929, he was the son of Richard and Goldie (LeClair) Manning Sr. He was married to Ellen Goodchild on July 26, 1948, in St. Patrick's Church, Chateaugay by the Rev. Floyd J. Brown. She predeceased him on June 17, 2003. Mr. Manning graduated from Chateaugay Central School. He enlisted into the U.S. Navy on May 22, 1946, and served on the U.S.S. Juneau. He was honorably discharged on March 17, 1948. He was employed as a taxi driver for Chateaugay Taxi, as a miner for Republic Steel, Lyon Mountain and retired as a Journeyman in 1992 after working for IBEW 1249 for many years. Mr. Manning raced stock cars for 20 years which included racing for Bob and Annette Recore and building and racing his own car with good friend, Charlie Grimshaw as chief mechanic. Mr. Manning is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Pamela Manning of Bedford, Ind.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Rose and Charles Roy of Watson, N.Y., Susan and John Golovach of Lyon Mountain, N.Y., Lisa and David Stickney of North Bangor, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his parents; a son, Dale Richard Manning; and two sisters, Dorothy Trombley and Gertrude Castine. Calling hours will be held at the Chateaugay Funeral Home on Wednesday, Sept. 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 4 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Lucille owned and operated her own beauty shop in Mt. Morris. She was a member of the Kraphol Senior Center, Flint Travel Club, and the First United Methodist Church of Mt. Morris. Mason, Helen E. - Age 94, of Mt. Morris, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at Genesys Hospice Care Center in Goodrich.  Funeral service
will be held Friday, November 3, 2006 11AM at the Miles Martin Funeral Home, with Pastor Keith Childerhose officiating and burial in
the Mt. Morris Cemetery.  Helen's family will be present at the Miles Martin Funeral Home to receive friends on Thursday from 2-8PM,

Henry and Grace (Parmeter) Stadler.  She and Raymond Mason were united in marriage on June 28, 1940.  He preceded her in death
in April of 1975.  Helen sold real estate for Robinson Realty for 12 years, and she also sold real estate for Century 21.  She was active
for many years in the Big Sister Program.  Helen leaves to cherish her memory sister, Hilda Freeman; sister-in-law, Emma Stadler; 12
nieces and nephews; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; husband,

Mayer, Lawrence - Lawrence Mayer rites set for Friday.  Lawrence (Buster) Mayer, age 82, of Sterling, Michigan, passed away
Saturday, February 5, 2005, at his home, under the care of Hospice.   Buster was born February 2, 1923, to Therma and Bella Mayer, in
Pine River, Michigan.  Buster served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 in the South Pacific.  Prior to and after the war he spent a
number of years commercial fishing on Saginaw Bay.  Buster retired from American Hoist in Bay City in 1984.  He was an avid
outdoorsman and euchre player, and tapped many of Arenac Counties maple trees to make syrup that he gave to his many friends.  
Buster is survived by his son, Todd J. Mayer and girlfriend Paula Gustafson, of St. Ignace, Michigan, his special friend Frieda Nutt, of
Pinconning, sisters: Madonna Sheppard of Sterling, and Florence Sulkowski, of Clinton Twp., and tons and tons of really cool nieces
and nephews.  Buster was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Corrine Trombley, and Lenore Flick, brothers, Leo, Donald, and

McGaulley, Emma Robare - Mrs. Emma (Robare) McGaulley, 91, of 25 Broad Street, Plattsburg pasted away August 23 at The Sacred Heart Nursing Home in Plattsburg, after a long illness. Born in Churubusco the daughter of Adolphus and Pheobe Patnode Robare and had lived in the Schenectady area for the past 50 years. She was a communicant of St. Paul The Apostle Church in Schenectady and St. Ann Society. Survivors include her husband James McGaulley of Plattsburg, a son, Joseph McGaulley of Schenectady; a sister, Mrs. Telesphore Parent of Plattsburg, a granddaughter, Lynn McGaulley of Schenectady and several nieces and nephews. McQuarter, Jerry J., Sr. "Chuck" - Jerry J. Sr. (Chuck) McQuarter, age 64 years, of LInwood, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born in Pinconning, Michigan, on January 1, 1944, to the late David and Helen (LaLonde) McQuarter. Jerry married his wife Lynne (Huskins) of 43 years on October 23, 1965, at St. John's Church in Essexville, MI. She survives him. Jerry worked for Bay Cast for 30 years, loved deer hunting with his son and grandchildren and spending time with his little buddy, Roger Raymond Belchak. Jerry is survived by his wife and children: Jerry (Dianna) McQuarter, Jr. of Pinconning, Peggy (Kevin) Meyer of Fairview Heights, IL and Melissa (Dennis) Veitengruber of Sterling; grandchildren: Brandy (Jeremy), Samantha, Daniel, Joseph, Nathan, Ryan, Tiffanie, Jerrid, Logan and Lyndsey; two brothers, David (Judy) McQuarter of Linwood, Glenn (Judy) McQuarter of Pinconning; two sisters, Margaret (Frank) Dybas of Pinconning and DeLouise Reyes of Pinconning. Medeiros, Ruth J. - Ruth J. (Jensen) Medeiros, 63, of Somerset passed away on Thursday May 8, 2008 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. She was the wife of twenty three years to Mario Medeiros. Ruth was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island on March 17, 1945 the daughter of the late Edgar and Dorothy H. Jensen. She was a graduate of Cumberland High School. Mrs. Medeiros worked for the City of Fall River as a clerk for the Board of Elections for twenty seven years. She was a member of the New Hope Christian Church in Swansea. She enjoyed gardening, and spending time with family and friends. Survivors besides her husband are a daughter Christine Mills of Fall River, MA a son Paul Patnaude of Cumberland, RI, four sisters Debra Andrade, Donna Beland, Lori LaValle, Sandra Dumont, all of Rhode Island, two brothers Edgar J. Jensen Jr. of North Carolina and Earl T. Jensen of Rhode Island, six grandchildren Kevin, Emily, Abigail, Jalyn, Sarah, and Hannah, and many nieces and nephews. Miller, George - George Miller, Plattsburgh. Mr. George Miller, 92, formerly of Margaret Street, died on Tuesday, March 18, 1986, at the Sacred Heart Nursing Home. He was born in Churubusco on Oct. 5, 1893, the son of Julius and Mary (Poupore) Miller. He was a communicant of St. Peter's Church. He worked for 52 years for the D&H Railroad, retiring in 1964 with the position of assistant signal supervisor. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 225 for more than 60 years. Survivors include his wife, the former Mary Louise LaClair of Plattsburgh; two sons, Edward Miller of Plattsburgh and Laurence Miller of Morrisonville; 12 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, one brother, Willard Miller of Plattsburgh; and two sisters, Mrs. Florence O'Keefe of Enfield, Conn., and Mrs. Harris (Laura) Barry of Miami, Fla. Miller, Mary Louise - Mary L. Miller, Plattsburgh. Mrs. Mary L. Miller, 90, of 239 Margaret St., died Sunday, March 1, 1987, in the Meadowbrook Nursing Home. She was born August 1, 1896, the daughter of Thomas and Odile (Poupore) LeClair. She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church, a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Peter's Altar Rosary Society and had been active in the Plattsburgh Bowling Association unitl 1978. Her husband, George Miller, died in 1986 and a son, Julius, died in infancy. Survivors include two sons, Edward Miller of Plattsburgh and Laurence Miller of Morrisonville; a sister, Mrs. Selina Thibeault of Churubusco; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Plattsburgh. Miller, Pearl - Pearl Miller, 60, died Thursday, July 9th in the Physicians unit of the Medical Center at Plattsburgh. Born in Ellenburg June 4, 1910, she was the daughter of Amos and Louise LeClair LaBombard, Survivors Include her husband, Arthur Miller; her father, Amos, Raymond (Genevieve) Tavemier of Dannemora and Mrs. William (Merrilda) Inghram of Scherloi, Pa.; one son, Alger Miller, Ellenburg Center; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Boadway and Mrs. Dewey LeClair, both of Chateaugay; six brothers, Clarence, Maynard, Herbert of Massena, Harry of Merrill and Donald of Brainardsville, plus six grandchildren. Miller, Roy Melvin - Roy Melvin Miller, 87, of Au Gres, Mich., passed away Nov. 17, 2010 in Sterling, Mich., due to complications from diabetes and Alzheimer’s Disease. Mr. Miller was born March 4, 1923, in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., to James and Iris Miller. Although he never talked about it, Mr. Miller served his country in World War II.  He received several commendations, including the bronze star “for meritorious achievement in connection with military operations against an enemy of the United States in Germany from 26 January 1945 to 30 January 1945.  Private First Class Miller, in the face of enemy artillery, mortar and small arms fire, ventured forth and made repairs to communications lines which were frequently severed by enemy fire.  Private Miller’s quick and skillful repairs aided materially in the success of operations and his actions were an inspiration to all.” He also was awarded a Good Conduct Medal and Ribbon, 3 Combat Infantryman Badges, an Expert Infantryman Badge and a Rifle Marksman Badge. Roy was also class salutatorian of his graduating class at Bendle High School in Flint, Mich. He worked as a laborer at General Motors Buick Crankshaft, of Flint, for more than 30 years before retiring in 1974. Mr. Miller was a life member of Au Gres VFW Post 8275. He also enjoyed playing different card games throughout his life, passing the pastime onto his children, but never “allowing them to just win.” He also enjoyed hunting, and while, obviously, skilled with a rifle, he wasn’t all that successful with deer hunting, but still looked forward to the hunt each year. Mr. Miller is survived by two daughters, Patrice Dziuban (Jeff Merchant), of Pinconning, and Patty Miller-Kramer (John Kramer), of Kalamazoo; two grandchildren: Zachary Dziuban, of Standish, and Christina Dziuban-Rodriguez, of North Carolina; one great-grandchild, Nebula Marie Rodriguez; brother, Glen Miller (Ardell), of Genesee; sister, Margaret, of Burton; and many nieces, nephews, step-children, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; other family members; and special friend and caregiver, Tressa Burns. Besides his parents, Mr. Miller was predeceased by daughter, Wendy Lou (Jo) Miller; sister, Edna O’Neill, of Sault Ste Marie; and wives, Elizabeth Laura (Ferweda) 1961-1975 and Theresa (Decker) 1987-2008. Visitation for Mr. Miller will be held from 3-7 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 20 and from 11-12 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 21 at the C.L. Forshee & Sons Funeral Homes, Inc., Au Gres Chapel. Miller, Ruth - Mrs. Ruth Miller, 84, of Massena, a former resident of Churubusco and Ellenburg, died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1981, in Highland Nursing Home, Massena. Born Jan. 11, 1897 in Ellenburg, she was the daughter of Fred and Melinda Dupree Peets. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul, in 1967. She was also predeceased by a sister, Lillian LeClair. Surviving are three sons, Garfield of Silver Springs, Fla., Hugh of Norwood, and Bruce of Dover Plains; four daughters, Mrs. Thelma Gadway of Mooers Forks, Mrs. Anita Ingraham of Dover Plains, Mrs. Harvey (Wilma) Pierson and Mrs. Kenneth (Zenith) Dallos, both of Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. Verconda Trombley of Malone, Mrs. Elzeor (Anna) Nichols of New Smyrna, Fla., Mrs. Alfred (Anna Mae) McDonald of Chateaugay and Mrs. Edward (Adrianne) Wegge of Binghamton; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Milton, Floyd W. - Floyd W. Milton, 97, Grand Rapids, died Monday, April 8, 2002, at Leisure Hills Health Care Center. He was born April 14, 1904, to John and Ida (Dow) Milton in Worthington where he grew up and attended school. He attended an automotive and electrical trade school in Kansas City for mechanics training. He was united in marriage to Florence Larson on Nov. 25, 1925, in Worthington. The couple made their home in Worthington where he was employed at Worthington Ford. In 1941, they moved to Deer Lake where they owned and operated Comfort Cove Resort for a few years. He logged for one winter and then went to work for Cleveland Cliffs Mining Company as a mechanic. His wife died in 1947. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth (Biz) Loye on Jan. 14, 1950, in Hibbing. The couple made their home north of Grand Rapids. He retired in 1968 from Cleveland Cliffs as a foreman. Throughout the years he enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth (Biz); daughters, Dorothy Jensen, Grand Rapids, Jean (Harry) Newton, Grand Rapids, Edith Akre, Pullman, Wash., and Lynn (Steve Brekke) Bakken, Lakeville; a son, Tom, (Bonnie) Milton, Maple Grove; 15 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Morgan, Duane Scott - Morgan, Duane Scott - Of Clio, age 36, died Wednesday, February 4, 2004, at Genesys Health Center.  Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, February 7, 2004, at the Church of God, Clio, Pastor Jim Horn officiating.  Private interment will be at Flint Memorial Park.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 5-8 p.m., Friday from 11-2 and 5-8 p.m.  Contributions in his memory may be made to the Parkinsons Disease Foundation.  Duane was born in Flint on November 1, 1967, a son of Joseph and Bernice (George) Morgan as was a resident of Clio his entire life.  He attended Elmer C. Knoff Learning Center in Flint and worked for the Genesee County Association for Retarded Citizens. Duane was a member of the Community Church of God in Clio. Surviving

Morris, Mary B. - Mary B. Morris, age 78, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at McLaren Hospital in Flint. She was born on October 30, 1930, in Standish, MI, to the late Felix A. and Mary (LaLonde) Bressette. She married Peter F. Morris on October 28, 1978, in Sanford, MI. He survives her. Mary loved fishing, knitting, playing cards, and spending time with the love of her life Pete, seeing the country side and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church and a member of 3677 Loyal Order of Eagles. She is survived by her children Marlene Morris of Saginaw, Charlene Morris of Bay City, Wayne Morris of Midland, 7 grandchildren, Kurt, Christopher, Kellie, Victoria, Amber, Francis, and Adam, 2 great grandchildren, 3 sisters Florence Aikens, Marian Carson, and Therese (Kenneth) Hart, a brother Bernard (Tea), brothers in laws Paul (Sally), Butch (Linda), and Jack Morris, sister in laws Audrey (Ed) Schmidt, MaryAnn (Phil) Pickvet, Carol Thomas and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her brothers Alcid, Clare, Vernon, Leonard (Bud) and Fred, one sister Dorothy Nalette, brother in laws Tom, and Dick Morris, Herb Aikens, Roy Carson and Leonard Nalette and sister in laws Florence Visscher, Mable , Betty, Joy, Evelyn, and Dorothy Brissette. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 15, 2008, at 11 a.m. from St. Johns Lutheran Church with Pastor Andrew Loessel presiding with burial in Midland Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mosher, Windsor - Windsor Harris Mosher, age 94, of Linwood, Michigan, passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at home following a lingering illness. He was born April 27, 1912, in Kawkawlin, MI, to Charles and Ellen (Goss) Mosher. He married Loretta B. Wackerle on April 30, 1934, in Bay City. The love of his life predeceased him after 69 years together. He wa a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Kawkawlin. Windsor was a lifelong farmer and also retired from the Grand Trunk Railroad. He is survived by his children: Marlene Mosher of Auburn, Ken and Shirley Mosher of Auburn, and Neil Mosher of Bay City; four grandchildren: Dave and Keri Prybyski of Midland, Mitchell Mosher of Bay City, Lane Mosher of Bay City, and Zac and Nicole Williams of Starkville, Mississippi; three great-grandsons and two great granddaughters. A brother and sister-in-law, Ervin and Marie Mosher of Sanford; brother Wesley Mosher of Chicago, Illinois; sister-in-law, Myrtle Wackerle of Linwood, and a brother-in-law, Byron Nussbaum of Fairbury, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: William, Archie, Harold, Leslie Mosher and sisters, Edna Anderson and Ellen Rylance. Funeral Services were held Sunday, September 24, 2006, at 1 p.m. from the Apostolic Christian Church with Clergy of the Church presiding with interment in the Church Cemetery. Murphy, James E. - James E. Murphy, 74, James E. Murphy, 74, Grand Rapids, died Friday, July 11, 2003, at St. Mary’s Medical Center
in Duluth, Minn. He graduated from Grand Rapids High School in 1947. Following his discharge from the U.S. Army after the Korean
War, Jim returned to Grand Rapids and worked briefly for the Blandin Paper Company. He then worked 35 years as photo/lithographer
for the Grand Rapids Herald-Review and the NorthPrint Company, retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church,
the Loyal Order of Moose, the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the American Legion where he participated in the color guard. Jim also
was a very avid sports fan and local sports supporter and he loved his pontoon boat and motorcycle. He is survived by his wife, Janice
Hince; two daughters, Pam (Don Brabeck) Murphy, St. Paul, Minn.; and Joelle (Dean) Mutchler, Grand Rapids; a son, Kenny (Kathy)
Murphy, Alexandria, Minn.; two stepdaughters, Janine (Lance) Neumann and Tracy (Don) Martin, both of St. Cloud, Minn.; two stepsons,
Greg (Dawn) Hince, Grand Rapids; and Doug (Jan) Hince, Royalton, Minn.; two sisters, Virginia Adams and Marge (Judo) Predovich,
both of Coleraine; one brother, Richard (Joan) Murphy, Crystal Lake, Ill.; 16 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews. Funeral: Tuesday, July 15, at 2 p.m. in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grand Rapids. Burial: With full military
