Oard, Orville B. - Orville B. Oard, 81, of Gladwin died Saturday, April 15, 2000 at the MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Born Nov.
25, 1918 in Gladwin County, he was the son of S. Boyd and Virgie (Bushong) Oard. Orville married Irene Emmendorfer, Oct. 18, 1947
in Saginaw. He was self-employed in the excavating business for 48 years. He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the
19th Station Hospital in Iran and is a lifetime member of VFW Post 7303. Orville was a trustee with the Hay Township Board for many
years. He was an avid hunter, loved to travel, and enjoyed his grandchildren. Besides his wife he is survived by seven daughters,
Carolyn Swanstra of Gladwin, Cathryn and husband Harold Loar of Beaverton, Cheryl-Oard-Irish of Flint, Cynthia and husband
Charles Simmons of Alma, Patricia Oard-Moore and husband Richard Moore of Midland, Pamela Oard of Niles, and Barbara and
husband Scott Buckley of Danville, Va.; one son, William and wife Darlene of Gladwin; two brothers, Max and Gerald, both of Gladwin;
two sisters, Mary Jane Brushaber and Betty Jean Myers, both of Beaverton; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Cherlyn Anne in 1950. Services will be held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the
Sisson Funeral Home in Gladwin with Rev. James Hoggard officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until 1 p.m.

Herriman. She was formerly employed at Meijer Thrifty Acres, Pierson Rd. Surviving are son, Richard N. and wife, Diane O'Dell of Mt.
Morris; daughter, Karen and husband, Charles Parsons of Flint; 3 grandchildren, Nathan, Joshua, Shaun; 1 brother, Elmer Herriman
of Flint; 3 sisters, Grace Skutt of Grand Blanc, Janet Martin of Flushing, Judy Rising of Clio; stepmother, Lucille Herriman of Flushing;

O'Dell, Richard Nelson - O'Dell, Richard Nelson - Age 45, of Falkvillle, AL, formerly of Mt. Morris, passed away Saturday, May 8, 1999,
in Decatur, AL. A memorial service will be held 11AM Saturday, May 15, 1999 at St. Bartholomew's Episcopal Church, 9252 Miller
Road, Swartz Creek, Fr. Gene Geromel, S.S.C officiating. Richard's family will be present at the church to receive friends on Saturday

O'Dell. Richard served 25 years at Mt. Morris Twp. Central Fire Department and was inducted into the P.F.I.A. Heroes Hall of Fame.
Surviving are: his wife, Kelly (Lohr) O'Dell of Falkville; 2 sons, Nathan of Florida, Joshua of Mt. Morris; daughter, Shiloh of Falkville;

Olepa, John D. - John D. Olepa, 78, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at Bay Shores Nursing Center following a brief illness.
He was born in Pinconning on December 29, 1923 to the late Karl and Bernice (Sniezek) Olepa. He married the former Norma
Rashotte on June 3, 1950 at St. Michael's Church. She survives him. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. John was a retired Sergeant
from the Michigan State Police, serving in the following posts: Keego Harbor & Romeo 1947-1949; Erie 1949-1957; Bridgeport
1957-1958; Cheboygan 1958-1959; Detroit 1959-1965; Bridgeport 1965-1975. After his retirement he taught Law Enforcement
Classes at Delta College from 1975-1983. Surviving besides his wife of 52 years is a daughter, Deb and Don Stephen of Standish;
brothers, Edwin Olepa of Dearborn Heights and Walter Olepa of Garden City. He was preceded in death by a brother Edward and a
sister Evangeline Wozniak. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, July 20, at 10 a.m. from St. Agnes Church with Rev. Fr. Joseph

Ostrander, Alan - Alan Carl Ostrander, 76, of Orlando, Fla., formerly of Sterling, passed away April 17, 2003. Mr. Ostrander was born
in Saginaw on April 7, 1927. He was a sales manager at Magline, Pinconning Car Sales, Wiltse Chevrolet and Real Estate Sales,
and he could be found every weekend at dawn golfing at Pine River Country Club. Survivors include: his wife, Joy Ostrander of
Orlando, Fla.; five children, Lynn Premo of Poinciana, Fla.; Valerie Himick of Traverse City; Lisa Cofield of Marathon, Fla., Peter
Ostrander of Indianapolis, Ind.; and Joy Kalmanek of White Lake; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Condolences may

1974. He then married Bertha Meade on August 1979 in Wittemore, she preceded him in death April 5, 1991. Mr. Ostrander was a
member of the Mt. Morris Lions Club , and Davison I.O.O.F. Prior to his retirement he had been employed at Consumers Power
Company for 29 years. Surviving are 2 sons and 1 daughter: Elba Dale and wife Maxine Ostrander; Earl David and wife Ella Ostrander;
Laura Marie and husband Richard Gray; Daughter-in-law: Randy Ostrander; 12 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 3 great great
