Richey, Cora - Mrs. Napoleon Richey. The following item is written by a West Brandon correspondent: This town was greatly shocked and grieved to learn of the sudden death of our beloved neighbor and friend, Mrs. Napoleon Richey at the Alice Hyde Hospital in Malone on Thursday morning. Mrs. Richey has been in poor health for some time but was able to be up and around. She was taken worse about two weeks ago but after a few days seemed to rally and was able to sit up. She was taken suddenly worse Tuesday night and was removed to the Alice Hyde Hospital where everything possible was done for her, but continued to fail until the end which occurred about one o'clock Thursday morning without regaining consciousness after being taken there. Mrs. Richey had only resided here about two years, but had made many friends in that time, who are greived at her passing. She was a young woman of finest character, a loving wife, mother and daughter and will be so missed in her home where she was always working to make it more cheerful and beautiful. Mrs. Richey's maiden name was Cora LeClair, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas LeClair of Churubusco. She leaves to mourn her husband, two little sons, her parents and several brothers and sisters. She was removed to the home of her parents and the funeral was held from the Roman Catholic church at Churubusco and the large concourse that followed her to her last resting place and the many floral offerings showed the esteem and love in which she was held. The very deepest sympathy is extended to the bereaved ones, especially the heart broken husband, sons and invalid mother. Unknown paper, 1930
