Zajas, Katherine - Southgate resident Katherine Zajas, 86, died Aug. 28. She was born in Poland and is survived by her daughter, Esther Friese of Southgate, and brothers, Joseph and Charles Jakubiec of Poland. Services were held at St. John Cantius Church, and burial was in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Brownstown Township. Arrangements were handled by the Czopek Funeral Home, Wyandotte. Unknown paper, 1981

Zupfer, Della M. (Gravelle) - Della M. (Gravelle) Zupfer, She was born May 11, 1944, in Arbo Township and attended school in
Cohasset and Grand Rapids. She married Kenneth Zupfer on Sept. 24, 1962, at Webster, S.D. They lived for a short time in Grand
Rapids, but lived mostly in St. Paul. She worked many years at Gillette Hospital in St. Paul. She is survived by her husband, Kenneth;
two daughters, Katie Shaw, Oakdale, and Rebecca Squires, St. Paul; two sons, Kenneth Jr., Vadnais Heights, and Joseph, St. Paul;
her parents, Emil and Irene Gravelle, Deer River; three sisters, Donna Rivera, Darlene Anderson and Tammy Gravelle; four brothers,
Ronald Gravelle, Emil "J.R." Gravelle, Dale Gravelle and Terry Gravelle; and four grandchildren, Tonia Jo Shaw, Dustin Sweeny, and
Crystal and Becky Rose Albrecht. Preceding her in death was a sister, Irene "Renee" Gravelle, on March 20, 1992. Funeral: Saturday,
March 7, at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Radaich officiating. Burial: Itasca-Calvary Cemetery.
